Database

Database is organized collection of data which is stored and can be accessed electronically.

Let's take an example of small rural XYZ Bank. This XYZ bank has data of its

• Customer,
• Number of saving accounts,
• Number of current account,
• Number of employees,
• Total amount of withdrawal,
• Total amount of deposit and many more data like that.

What is Database Design?

Database design is a collection of process that are followed to enhance the designing, development, implementation, and maintenance of data management system. The proper Database design is cost effective in terms of disk storage space and easy to maintain because of well constraints of the data.

Why Database Design is important?

• It is the blueprint of the all the flow of the data in the whole Database.
• It saves the space by eliminating the irrelevant data.
• It gives the clear view of the behavior of the application
• It improves the overall speed of the application by reducing the processing time.
